Dr Cindy Needham is a Research Fellow at Deakin University who transitioned from local government into academia, specialising in public health policy and systems science. She advises local governments, health services, and public health units on solving complex challenges using systems thinking, co-design, and group model-building techniques.
As co-design lead for the MRFF-funded DELIVER project, she has worked with health services to generate solutions to improve the uptake of health service delivered at the home for older people in rural Australia. She co-facilitated the National Sustainable Asthma Care roundtable series applying inclusive roundtable methods to shape a systems-oriented asthma care model balancing health outcomes with environmental sustainability.
