How to include a gift in your Will
To include a gift in your will, you can simply ask your solicitor or Trustee Company to update your will to include your wishes.
There are three main ways to leave a gift in your Will to Doctors for the Environment Australia
- Specific – You may wish to include a specific dollar amount for your gift, or specific assets such as property or shares.
- Percentage Gift – You simply state in your Will what percentage of your estate you would like to give.
- Residual Gift – After family and friends have been taken care of, and all costs have been dealt with, you can make a gift of the remainder or residue of your estate, or a percentage of that residue.
No matter the amount, your gift will contribute to a healthier planet.
Doctors for the Environment Australia strongly encourage you to seek advice when writing your will. The below wording is a suggestion only and should be discussed with your relevant legal advisor:
“I give to Doctors for the Environment Australia (DEA) of Suite G.03, 60 Leicester Street, Carlton, Victoria, 3053 (ABN 80 178 870 373)
(a) % of my estate; OR
(b) the residue of my estate; OR
(c) % of the residue of my estate; OR
(d) the amount of $XX
for the general purposes of Doctors for the Environment Australia.
