Dr Carolyn Orr

Dr Carolyn Orr trained at the University of Glasgow, qualified as a physician and neurologist in Sydney, and has a PhD from the University of New South Wales in Parkinson’s disease. She did fellowships in Movement Disorder and Behavioural Neurology at the Mayo Clinic, USA.

She has worked as a consultant and teacher since 2009. Her main professional interest is in cognitive neurology (disorders of thinking, behaviour and language). She does research in neurodegenerative disease (including fronto-temporal dementia, Huntington's disease and Alzheimer’s disease).

She is passionate about the links between human health and our environment.
