Associate Professor Ken Winkel, currently a teaching specialist within the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health (MSPGH), is the former Director of the Australian Venom Research Unit (AVRU) at the University of Melbourne.
He represents the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences on the Sustainability Advisory Group to the University of Melbourne and co-ordinates MSPGH postgraduate healthcare sustainability and undergraduate One Health teaching. He is also affiliated with the Medical History Museum, within Melbourne Medical School, is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (ACTM), a member of the Doctors for the Environment Australia Biodiversity Special Interest Group [SIG] and ACTM One Health SIG.
