The NSW Government is being urged by a coalition of unions, medical professionals, and environmental organisations to develop a plan to lower gas consumption throughout the state.
According to the alliance, gas has "significant" health effects in addition to being a fossil fuel that harms the environment and is expensive for locals to use.
Doctors for the Environment Australia member Dr Anthony Hull said "To protect the public, we should move to fully electric homes as a priority."
