Renew magazine looks at what the options are for communities to protect themselves from harmful smoke entering homes during a bushfire.
Doctors for the Environment Australia Air Pollution group convenor Dr Ben Ewald explains that bushfire smoke can travel great distances, can contain many different chemicals and smoke can easily penetrate most homes. "The smoke will blow in under doors and around windows and through ventilation spaces."
