Doctors for the Environment has reported a rise in mental health conditions due to climate change and weather events. Currently, 1.8% of mental disorders in Australia are caused by high temperatures.
The organisation is calling for increased resources to address the escalating mental health needs, with costs exceeding $190 billion per year.
