Professor Margaret Schnitzler is a colorectal surgeon and education-focused academic who is co-Deputy Head of Sydney Medical School.
She is co-lead for the Planetary Health curriculum in the Sydney Medical Program, co-director of Surgical education and Deputy Chair of the Sydney Medical School Sustainability Leadership group.
Within the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, she is the Education Lead for the Environmental Sustainability in Surgical Practice working group.
She is the chair of the Net Zero Clinical group and a member of the Planetary Health committee in the Northern Sydney Local Health district.
