Over 30 medical organisations, representing 12 million health professionals globally, have committed to boycotting advertising and public relations firms that collaborate with the fossil fuel sector, citing the adverse effects of the climate crisis on human health. The Fossil-Free Health Communications pledge signifies an increasing concern regarding the influence of advertising and public relations firms in obscuring the fossil fuel industry's contribution to the climate crisis.

“In a world on fire, health professionals must lead with truth,” said Dr Kate Wylie, executive director of Doctors for the Environment Australia.
