The Perth Voice: Drs turn the heat up in debate

A group of doctors in WA concerned about climate change's health impacts is organizing a meet-the-candidate event ahead of the March state election.

GP Tim Leahy, a member of Doctors for the Environment Australia, emphasizes the opportunity for locals to ask candidates about environmental and health issues, including local topics like tree canopy coverage.

“We are hoping the candidates will be able to provide a statement on the environment, climate and health, but we are non-partisan,” Dr Leahy said.

The meet-the-candidate evening is being held on Thursday January 30 at the Inglewood Hotel from 6.30pm. Tickets are free, but the venue has limited seating, so book ahead through Humanitix.
