The Guardian: Heat is Australia’s ‘silent killer’. Here are the symptoms to watch out for

In Australia, extreme heat is the leading cause of weather-related hospitalisations and fatalities. The Guardian talks with doctors, including Doctors for the Environment Australia board member Dr. Kim Loo, about what you should know.

“Heat stress is where you feel uncomfortable from heatwaves. You get weakness, tiredness, cramps and dizziness,” Dr. Loo says. “If you feel that, you need to get yourself out of the sun and start drinking [water].”
