Entries now open for DEA’s inaugural photography competition

Entries now open

Join our national nature photography competition exploring the interconnection of population health and the health of the ecosystem in which we live: your experience interacting with the natural world around you.

 

Who Can Enter?

Entry into the competition is open to all members of the general public, including students, provided they are above the age of 18 and currently live in Australia. There is no requirement to be a doctor or medical student.

Entrants are encouraged to respond to the competition title “People, Country, Planetary health”. When submitting a photograph, entrants are asked to provide a short blurb detailing where photo was taken, and how it explores the competition theme.

Entries will be limited to the first 100 people who participate. Only one entry per person will be accepted.

 

Dates of Event

The competition will run from 27 April 2017 to 30 July 2017.

 

Judging and Prizes

Judging will take place by prominent industry representatives, including the renowned bioethicist and University of Sydney’s Professor Angus Dawson.

1st and 2nd prizes will be awarded for each of the two categories: students and non-students. Prizes include:

  • MilkwoodIntroduction to permaculture’ course
  • Mystery weekend for two at Blue Mountains retreat house
  • Nourished Life vouchers

An awards night will be held in August, at a date to be advised.
