A Prescription for Safeguarding the Health of Tasmanians
In this document we make comment on the health needs of Tasmanians in relation to climate and energy policy, infrastructure, and services. This is because human health is, or should be, at the heart of every government policy.
The common denominators in this paper are the recognition that all developments in our state need specific and rigorous assessment of both positive and negative health impacts, and that climate change is a health issue which will affect every part of our lives.
At the 2018 Tasmanian state election, we are calling for all parties to take seriously the health of Tasmanians and of our global community by more fully realising commitments to protect the natural environment from damaging human activities.
