Croakey contacted 20 health organisations in Australia, which included leading public and allied health entities, medical colleges, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health organisations, to ascertain the participants for the Federal Government's Economic Reform Roundtable. Among the 11 that responded, none have received an invitation to the health-focused roundtable.
Dr Kate Wylie, Executive Director of DEA, told Croakey, "Separating health discussions from the main roundtable is a missed opportunity for cross-sectoral understanding.”
