Dr Georgia Brown Secretary

Georgia Brown BMed BMedSci (Hons) is a junior doctor in Newcastle who has been a member of DEA since starting medical school.

With past leadership experience at the University of Newcastle, the Australian Medical Students' Association, the Planetary Health Association, and past DEA roles as the National Student Chair and the Student Representative to the Board, Georgia is invested in maximising the impact of DEA's work, and mobilising medical students and junior doctors to protect the environment. She is passionate about advocacy for safeguarding nature's biodiversity, and intersectional climate justice for human health. She is currently pursuing research and governance training opportunities alongside her clinical work.
