Australia still faces a number of threats in 2026, such as fuel insecurity, rising living expenses, and the possibility of conflict. Disinformation about climate change and reliance on fossil fuels, however, might be the most powerful of them all, according to the former chief of the Australian Defence Force, Admiral (Ret’d) Chris Barrie.
