It is that time of the year when you can nominate yourself to become a DEA board member. This is an exciting opportunity to work with like-minded DEA members and staff to help shape DEA’s future.
The Board is DEA’s governing body. Board membership is very rewarding and comes with its own set of unique challenges and commitments. The role of the Board is described in the Terms of Reference in the nomination form. A Board manual is also available on request.
This year there are multiple vacancies on the board. We are particularly seeking nominations from people with experience in governance, fundraising and campaigning. Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to nominate.
If you are interested, please fill in the nomination form, save it with the file title 2024 Board Nomination_your initials and send it to [email protected] by 5pm on Friday 25 October 2024.
Once all the nominations have been received, an online election will be conducted from 6-17 November 2024. The new Board members will be announced at the AGM on 18th November 2024. Instructions regarding the voting will come later.
All paying DEA members are eligible to nominate and vote.
