DEA welcomes members to its Annual General Meeting at 6pm on 11 October in Melbourne. The AGM will be followed by a social function featuring a special presentation by human rights lawyer, media commentator and author Lizzie O’Shea. This special social event is open to all.
DEA is delighted that Lizzie will be speaking at our post AGM event this year.
Lizzie was recently named a Human Rights Hero by Access Now and has also received the Davis Projects for Peace Prize.
Lizzie works at Maurice Blackburn and in 2011 was DEA’s primary solicitor when DEA became the first health organisation in Australia (possibly the world) to legally challenge the development of a new coal fired power station on health grounds planed for Morwell, Victoria.
We look forward to seeing you on what promises to be a great evening!
